From initial doubts about fabrics to the finished interior, Helena shares her experience with Motiva. She explains how the window treatments were chosen for each room, how the designer helped, and how she felt about the results after installation.

Helena particularly appreciates the complete darkness in the bedroom, how easy the pleated blinds are to use, and the warmth the curtains have brought to her home.

For Helena’s living room, we paired airy sheers with beige curtains. Together, they softly frame the large windows, add warmth to the interior and allow her to adjust the amount of natural light entering the room.

Curtains: Dateks HAVANA, v.7 (lighter side facing the room), fullness ratio 1.8.

Sheers: Dateks 2201, v.02, fullness ratio 2.

Curtain heading tape: Bocelli.

Curtain track: white KS2 ceiling-mounted track.

For Helena’s home office, we chose pleated blinds in a warm beige shade. They complement the interior, make it easy to control natural light and leave the space around the windows clear.

Fabric: Sona Mocha.

Mounting: directly onto the glass, without drilling into the window frame.

System features: the blinds move along guide rails and stay securely in the desired position.
