pleated blinds for the nursery

A young mom and UGC-creator reached out to us

She wanted to update the window solution in the kids’ room: the baby needs quality daytime sleep, and she wanted a neat and modern interior without unnecessary visual “noise”.

The goal was to cover the window in a way that would be functional, child-safe and aesthetically clean — without hanging chains and heavy fabrics.
In the kids’ room there was a “Day–Night” roller blind on the window, and on the balcony door — there was no covering at all.

This solution already looked not very modern and “unfinished”, and it didn’t provide proper darkening for a small child’s sleep.

Window before the update

She came to the Motiva showroom to see the options in person and choose a system for the kids’ room. In the showroom she could see how different solutions work — from roller blinds to pleated blinds — and compare materials live.

In the end, blackout pleated blinds were chosen — the neatest and safest solution for a kids’ room.

Why pleated blinds are an ideal choice for a nursery:
  • take up minimal space on the window
  • provide full darkening for daytime naps
  • look clean and modern — without “visual noise”
  • no chains — child-safe
  • easy to raise and lower to the desired height

Solution

The room became brighter, tidier and visually cleaner.
The pleated blinds made the interior look more modern and complete.
During the day, you can raise the blind and let in soft daylight, and in the evening — lower it to create darkness and a comfortable sleep environment.

She also liked that pleated blinds look light even on smaller windows, and don’t visually overload the space of the kids’ room.

Consultation & installation

It was important for her to see the options in real life, so she came to the Motiva showroom — to see how different systems work and to compare fabrics by shades.

On site she chose blackout pleated blinds, placed the order, and Motiva specialists dismantled the old “Day–Night” roller blinds and installed the new system.

If you also want to choose the right solution — or you’re not sure where to start — leave a request, and Motiva consultants will help you with any questions.
